Rock music is back this fall here at New Friends HQ! Nova Scotia's finest exports—the venerable PAVEL STROKE, Halifax kings of noise—return to See-Scape alongside their newfound screamo compatriots FISHMONGER, real-deal players that will leave you jaw-dropped. The angular, deeply punk history of the East Coast finds itself proudly represented through these products of their lineage, showcasing what happens when the tight-knit DIY ethic of an oft-overlooked scene dares to push itself to its limits. Complementing them are local post-punks SUPER KILL ME NOW, the smartest guys in the room, as well as local new bloods LARVAL TEAR, ready to tear the building apart with teeth honed through harsh post-hardcore. This one's a real rocker—all those who miss out will not be forgiven.
