Hot on the heels of mesmerizing new release "The Beatniks Couldn't Save the World" through the venerable Tomb Tree Tapes, B.C.'s own I.O once again finds himself in Toronto in the midst of a warpath through Canada. Having built years of experience through his truly formidable catalogue, i.o weaves entrancing tapestries of percussive sound through a never-ending onslaught of live drums and prepared guitars that bring to mind the mathy theatrics of Girlfriends or shades of Don Martin Three (and yes, inevitably Zach Hill) while staying firmly rooted in the heavy and meditative. It's a one-of-a-kind sonic thrill—you have GOT to see it live. On top of all of this, local emo youngbloods FOXGLOVES are due to impress once again with their genre-bending technical chops, while early '00s Dischord worshippers LOST UNIT bring the angular dissonance.
